Sometimes, another point of view is really important

8.3.2022 happens to be International Women's Day - should be celebrated by holding to the light some of the sterling work being done by women everywhere.

Anubha Bhosle and Newsworthy

I will probably violate all kinds of ethics by practically copying and pasting what is essentially someone else's work. Anubha Bhonsle and her team does great work - I have subscribed to her feed.

This is the gist of the events in Ukraine, as reported by 'Newsworthy' her channel.

While we in the UK are filling church floors with donations for Ukrainians leaving their country, and condemning Mr Modi for not coming out as pro-US/UK in his stance (how can he, he buys 60% of his arms from Russia, to keep some 8-9 live points supplied on his own borders - China, Pakistan) something else is exercising the minds of Indians.

Thousands of students go to various universities in the Ukraine to read medicine - something which I simply did not know. These students were promised safe passage home, and have largely been evacuated, some in military aircraft - 'Operation Ganga' it was called. In the course of this process, Russia has apparently promised a safe corridoor for evacuation, but it turns out that they all point to the Russian border - international sources say that these 'safe corridoors' had been previously mined. All they wanted, it is being surmised, was to post pictures of injured migrants being looked after in Russia - for media exposure.

Ukraine refused, hardly surprisingly, and actually before it was known that the routes had been mined.

That sums up Putin, doesn't it? This is not being covered by the UK press.

Read more on her feed - it is one of the top items right now.

Clare Dale and Physical Intelligence

The second piece of outstanding work is being done by Clare Dale, who is an expert in what one might call empowering people by better self management.

Here is her profile on linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/in/claire-dale/

She has offered a free workshop for everyone to best manage our own internal responses to the atmosphere of anxiety which now prevails.

We could do a lot worse than attend. Everything she has done is science based, and the one or two things I have attended during Covid gave instant results.

The free workshops this week are on Wednesday 9 March. The 60-minute session will run twice at 11.00 GMT and 16.30 GMT.
Use this link to join the workshop (no registration required).

The link to join is the same for both events.

Keep sane, everyone.
